Whether you're eyeing a Band 6 post or just starting to explore leadership, this 6-week series gives you the tools, support, and structure to step forward with confidence, without losing your clinical roots.

This isn’t another passive webinar or tick-box CPD course. It’s a guided transformation, grounded in real NHS experience, habit science, and person-centred coaching.

Each week combines a core leadership skill with a practical habit—because growth doesn’t happen in theory; it happens in action.


🗓 Week 1: Think Like a Leader

✍️ Habit: 3-sentence daily leadership reflections


We start by helping you see yourself as a leader. You’ll explore your strengths and values and create your first “Leadership Intention Statement.” Most nurses say this is when the shift begins.

✍️ Habit: Use the SBI feedback model once


You’ll practise giving effective, non-confrontational feedback—something many nurses fear when moving into management. We give you scripts, scenarios, and confidence.

✍️ Habit: Delegate one task and follow up


Leadership means letting go of “doing it all.” You’ll learn how to delegate safely, fairly, and without guilt. We even provide a delegation tracker and supervision reflection template.


🗓 Week 4: Explore Leadership Roles


🧠 Skill: Career mapping and service insight

✍️ Habit: Speak with a nurse leader


Many nurses aren’t sure which leadership path suits them—operations, governance, education? We’ll help you identify your fit and guide you through a conversation or shadowing opportunity.

 

🗓 Week 5: Lead Safe Change

✍️ Habit: Spot one improvement and plan a test


Learn how to use tools like PDSA cycles to lead small, meaningful changes on your ward or practice area. This habit also supports your CPD and revalidation.

✍️ Habit: Update CV + write your leadership vision


We wrap with mock interview prep, personal statement guidance, and a clear plan for your next step. You’ll leave with a refreshed CV, leadership elevator pitch, and the belief that you’re ready.
